Cameron was born in Wellington, New Zealand and spent his early childhood years surrounded by Maori art. This inspired him to create representations of these beautiful symbols to convey the importance of cultural meaning.

A lot of people wear the manaia symbol as a spiritual guardian against evil. It was traditionally carved with the tail of a fish, body of a man, and head of a bird. More recently, there are many depictions of this symbol depending on the artists’ interpretation.

This pendant also comes with a corded necklace that was hand braided by Cameron.
