Cameron was born in Wellington, New Zealand and spent his early childhood years surrounded by Maori art. This inspired him to create representations of these beautiful symbols to convey the importance of cultural meaning.

The Toki was usually carved from stone and used by the leaders of Maori tribes as a building tool. The Toki (similar to a modern day adze) was an essential part of the Maori people’s survival and is now seen as a symbol of strength and leadership.

This particular piece was carved using a truly unique piece of Russian nephrite jade, keeping a 'live' edge unpolished so the wearer can appreciate the texture of the original stone.

This pendant also comes with a corded necklace that was hand braided by Cameron.
